Registered Dental Assistant

Job Summary
Assist dentists in chairside patient care by demonstrating knowledge of dental instruments, placing and removing rubber dams, and performing basic lab procedures such as taking impressions and fabricating temporary crowns. Maintain inventory control in operatories, manage recordkeeping, and deliver patient interactions related to scheduling and post-surgical information while adhering to OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC guidelines. Prepare cases for external labs and remove excess cement from restorations. Requires a Current NJ Registered Dental Assistant license, X-ray license, and active CPR certification, with availability for evening and weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Applicable licensing required for the state in which you will work: Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) license or willing to pursue licensure immediately
- X-ray License
- Current NJ Registered Dental Assistant license
- Active CPR Certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Requires some flexibility in scheduling, such as the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Knowledge of dental instruments and patient care
- Ability to clearly communicate medical information to professional practitioners and/or the general public
- Excellent organization, prioritization, follow up, analytical and time management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant certificate
- Registered Dental Assistant License
- 1+ years work experience as a Dental Assistant
- Easily able to learn new technologies and systems required and demonstrates a desire to learn
