Job Summary
Assist the periodontist during periodontal and implant procedures, performing preoperative and postoperative patient care duties. Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a sterile clinical environment while supporting an unobstructed operative field using suction, retractors, and irrigation. Prepare, inspect, and sterilize instruments and equipment; obtain and process dental radiographs and imaging as needed. Monitor patient comfort and status during procedures, review postoperative instructions, and reinforce care guidance with patients. Complete accurate clinical documentation and patient narratives, coordinate supplies and equipment, and handle advanced equipment with finesse. Full-time Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm. Requires Registered Dental Assistant license in Massachusetts and Massachusetts Dental Radiology Certification.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Registered Dental Assistant license in the state of Massachusetts
- Massachusetts Dental Radiology Certification
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire)
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on patient safety and infection control
- Excellent manual dexterity and clinical precision
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced periodontal setting
- Professional, calm, and compassionate demeanor with patients
- Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with clinical documentation
- E-Verify participation (authorization to work in the United States)
