Job Summary
Assist the dentist in gaining patient commitment for best possible treatment by utilizing x-rays, educating patients with intra-oral pictures, and supporting the diagnosis. Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment while preparing patients for treatment and instructing them on postoperative and general oral health care. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment in accordance with American Dental Association guidelines, ensuring strict compliance with state, federal, and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- specified training courses as mandated by state for certification, licensure, or registration
- Certifications/licenses/registrations as mandated by applicable state
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school
