Job Summary
Assist the dentist in gaining patient commitment for treatment by utilizing x-ray time to promote treatment qualities, educating patients with intra-oral pictures, and using effective chair-side skills. Prepare patients for treatment, maintain a clean and sterile environment, and sterilize instruments according to ADA guidelines. At the dentist's direction, complete x-rays and instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care while ensuring compliance with state, federal, and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- specified training courses as mandated by state for certification, licensure, or registration
- Certifications/licenses/registrations as mandated by applicable state
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school
