Job Summary
Deliver compassionate, safe, and high-quality clinical care in support of oral and maxillofacial surgeons by preparing patients for procedures, assisting throughout surgeries, and monitoring vital signs. Maintain strict aseptic protocols by setting up operatories, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring all supplies are functional. Manage compliance by performing monthly safety checks, verifying crash carts, calibrating X-ray and Omni-cam units, and maintaining controlled substance logs. Work Monday through Friday with Friday hours ending at 1:00 PM, requiring travel between Johnson City, Bristol, and Kingsport locations. This role supports the surgical workflow of Associated Oral & Implant Surgeons, emphasizing advanced clinical competency and regulatory adherence.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) credential
- equivalent surgical assisting certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- willingness to obtain ACLS or DAANCE certification
- Previous experience in oral surgery or dental surgical assisting
- Advanced knowledge of oral surgery procedures
