Job Summary
Registered Dental Assistant role performing chair-side support, patient preparation, radiography, inventory, front-office assistance when needed, and infection-control duties. Responsibilities include facilitating dentist’s treatment in restorative dentistry or oral surgery, preparing materials/equipment, managing supplies, taking x-rays, assisting in lab work, as well as patient education, charting, HIPAA compliance, and QA/QI participation. Skills emphasized include patient communication, bilingual English/Spanish capability, organization, and ability to work across clinical and front-office tasks; requires RDA certification, radiation safety completion, BLS, and at least one year of dental assistant experience. Must be willing to work at multiple Omni Family Health locations and possibly weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate (or GED)
- Proof of completing radiation safety course
- One-year experience as a dental assistant
- Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant
- Certificates for coronal polishing and sealants
- Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrate knowledge of dental health education subjects
- Ability to communicate in English and Spanish
