Job Summary
Assist the dentist chair-side in restorative dentistry or oral surgery, prepare materials and equipment, take X-rays, assist with dental lab work, and support front-office tasks when needed. Maintain sterile infection-control practices, review health histories, set up trays/instruments, supervise equipment maintenance, and liaise with purchasing for supplies. May perform additional duties such as patient education, scheduling, and basic administrative activities as directed by the Chief Dental Officer or Dentist. Must be willing to work at Omni Family Health locations and to work weekends if needed, with proficiency in English and Spanish.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate (or GED).
- Proof of completing radiation safety course.
- One-year experience as a dental assistant.
- Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant required.
- Certificates for coronal polishing and sealants required.
- Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Demonstrate knowledge of dental health education subjects.
- Have the ability to communicate in English and Spanish.
