Job Summary
Provide efficient four-handed chairside assistance during cosmetic, restorative, and implant procedures while preparing treatment rooms and instruments. Assist with procedures including crowns, bridges, composite fillings, root canals, extractions, dentures, and Invisalign, and support the assisted-hygiene workflow. Take diagnostic digital radiographs, record periodontal charting, maintain accurate clinical documentation in Dentrix, and ensure infection-control standards. Prepare patients for treatment, explain procedures, and provide postoperative instructions while maintaining smooth patient flow. Work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in a two-provider practice offering general, cosmetic, restorative, and implant dentistry.
Required Qualifications
- Previous dental assisting experience
- Current dental radiology certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, materials, and procedures
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced practice
- Professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and outcome-focused
- Strong communication and patient-care skills
Desired Qualifications
- Active California RDA license
- Dentrix experience
- Experience assisting with oral surgery, implants, endodontics, restorative procedures, and Invisalign
