Job Summary
Provide efficient four-handed chairside assistance for cosmetic and restorative procedures, including crowns, bridges, fillings, root canals, extractions, implants, and Invisalign. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials while maintaining proper sterilization and infection-control protocols. Take diagnostic-quality digital radiographs, impressions, and assist with iTero digital scanning. Review the schedule, turn over rooms quickly, document treatments in Open Dental, and educate patients on procedures and postoperative instructions. Maintain OSHA, HIPAA, and practice safety standards while communicating effectively with multiple providers. Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., up to $30 per hour based on experience and licensure. Bonus structure available.
Required Qualifications
- Previous dental assisting experience
- Current dental radiology certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, materials, and procedures
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced, multi-provider office
- Strong communication and patient-care skills
- Dependable, proactive, detail-oriented, and team-focused
- Motivated to learn new skills and participate in continuing education
Desired Qualifications
- Active California RDA license
- Experience assisting with restorative dentistry, oral surgery, implants, and endodontics
- Experience with Open Dental or similar dental software
