Job Summary
Greet and prepare patients for exams, completing digital charting and verifying codes with precision. Capture quality x-ray images and assist the dentist with a variety of treatment procedures. Set up and sterilize exam and treatment rooms, while providing teeth polishing, sealant placement, and post-care instructions. Discuss treatment options, importance, and follow-up recommended care, guiding parents and patients through dismissal procedures. Support appointment scheduling and adhere to HIPAA guidelines to create positive patient environments. This full-time role at Smile Magic Killeen/Lowes Blvd involves Tuesday-Saturday hours.
Required Qualifications
- Texas Issued Registered Dental Assistant Licensing
- Digital x-ray and Digital Charting Experience
- Hep B and CPR Certifications
- Understanding and adhering to HIPAA guidelines
Desired Qualifications
- Sealant Placement, Nitrous Monitoring and Coronal Polishing Certifications preferred (if 2+ years of experience, company provides courses)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, self-starter, and demonstrates initiative
