Job Summary
Greet and prepare patients for exams, capturing quality x-ray images and verifying codes with precision. Assist the dentist with treatment procedures while setting up and sterilizing exam rooms, adhering to cross-contamination standards. Discuss treatment options, provide teeth polishing and sealant placement, and guide patients through post-care instructions. Support appointment scheduling and create positive environments through patient engagement before, during, and after visits. Ensure HIPAA compliance and assist with company-provided prizes and dismissal. This role supports the Dentist in exams and treatment discussions, fostering strong professional relationships within the Smile Magic Killeen/Lowes Blvd location.
Required Qualifications
- Texas Issued Registered Dental Assistant Licensing
- Digital x-ray and Digital Charting Experience
- Hep B and CPR Certifications
- Understanding and adhering to HIPAA guidelines
- Prompt and timely with work schedule
- Tuesday-Saturday
Desired Qualifications
- Sealant Placement, Nitrous Monitoring and Coronal Polishing Certifications preferred (if 2+ years of experience, company provides courses)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, self-starter, and demonstrates initiative
- Flexible and innovative; highly adaptable to dynamic business environment
