Job Summary
Greet and prepare patients for exams while completing digital charting and verifying codes with precision. Capture quality x-ray images and assist the dentist with a variety of treatment procedures. Set up and sterilize exam and treatment rooms, ensuring instruments are cleaned following cross-contamination standards. Discuss treatment options, importance, and follow-up recommended care, then guide patients and parents through post-care instructions. Provide teeth polishing and sealant placement procedures where certified, support appointment scheduling, and assist with company-provided prizes and dismissal. Maintain HIPAA compliance and create positive patient environments through engagement before, during, and after visits.
Required Qualifications
- Texas Issued Registered Dental Assistant Licensing
- Hep B and CPR Certifications
Desired Qualifications
- Sealant Placement, Nitrous Monitoring and Coronal Polishing Certifications preferred (if 2+ years of experience, company provides courses)
- Digital x-ray and Digital Charting Experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, self-starter, and demonstrates initiative
