Job Summary
Counsellor role based in Western Australia delivering six online counselling sessions per day within a stepped care model for Sonder members; permanent position with hybrid/flexible working arrangements (in-office collaboration and work-from-home flexibility); requires a Bachelor's degree in Counselling (Australia or NZ) with professional registration (PACFA- Clinical or ACA - Level 3 or above); minimum 3 years' 1-2-1 therapy experience with adults; extensive hours of counselling training and delivered therapy; involvement in multidisciplinary teams, supervision, and quality assurance; focus on culturally safe, evidence-based counselling, self-regulation strategies, and individualised care plans; duties include case notes, supervision, and collaboration with health providers; remote online delivery with on-the-ground support as needed; strong emphasis on quality care, continuous improvement, and client well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Counselling (Australia or New Zealand)
- PACFA- Clinical, ACA - Level 3 or above
- Minimum of 3 years of direct 1-2-1 therapy sessions with adults
- Demonstrated experience in evidence-based counselling
- Minimum of 400 hours of documented counselling instruction and 140 hours of delivered therapy
- Completion of a minimum of 40 hours of recorded therapy during course placement
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Resilience and adaptability in managing complex situations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
