Job Summary
Provides educationally related mental health services (ERMHS) to students with IEPs who demonstrate emotional or behavioral issues. Delivers counseling as written into the IEP, develops and updates IEP goals/objectives, maintains service minutes, collaborates with the IEP team, prepares progress reports to the district and guardians, refers to community resources, attends IEP and collaborative meetings, and maintains required documentation and reporting. Strong collaboration with school personnel, knowledge of counseling practices and ED programming, and ability to document and supervise services are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling/ Psychology or Social Work
- Has current Associate or Licensed status with the Board of Behavioral Sciences
- Valid California driver’s license and proof of auto insurance (preferred)
- Pass agency paid criminal justice screening including fingerprints
- Pass agency paid TB screening
- Pass agency paid health screening and/or drug testing (if required)
- Pass agency paid MVR clearance with no more than 2 points (if you are under 25, no points)
