Job Summary
The Registered Dietitian Clinical provides medical nutrition therapy for adult medical/surgical in inpatient settings with some outpatient coordination. Responsibilities include completing and documenting nutrition assessments, interpreting nutrition-related labs, identifying nutrition diagnoses, implementing appropriate nutrition interventions and education, monitoring outcomes, and collaborating with other dietitians and healthcare providers. The role supports nutrition care across the healthcare continuum, participates in department continuous improvement projects, and may include RD Nutrition Care Process order writing per policy. The position may be hired as either Registered Dietitian Clinical or Registered Dietitian Clinical Specialist based on qualifications and experience. Sign-on bonus of $1,250. The work schedule is PRN (as needed) with 1–2 weekends per month and occasional holiday coverage; coverage will be primarily inpatient with potential weekday coverage to support time off and site needs.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or registration eligible
- If hired in registration eligible status, pass the credentialing exam within 6 months of hire
- Master’s degree by accredited university for graduates after Jan 1, 2024
- ACEND accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics, Dietetic Internship, Coordinated Program, or graduate-level competency-based dietitian nutritionist program
- State licensure or certification as required by the primary state of practice (within 6 months of hire)
- Experience in clinical dietetics, preferred
