Job Summary
Registered Dietitian Inpatient provides Medical Nutrition Therapy using the Nutrition Care Process with moderate autonomy and collaboration from advanced practice dietitians in specialty populations. Responsibilities include mentoring newly graduated dietitians, dietetic interns, and clinical diet techs; applying research to improve patient outcomes; implementing evidence-based care within the interdisciplinary team; managing nutrition care across the continuum including durable medical equipment order writing; and maintaining RD nutrition order- writing privileges per policy. Requires state licensure/certification and/or registration; eligible graduates must pass the credentialing exam within 6 months of hire; master’s degree required for graduates after Jan 1, 2024. Pay ranges listed are hourly and reflect experience; sign-on bonus of $2500 available.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or registration eligible
- If hired in registration eligible status, must pass the credentialing exam within 6 months of hire
- For graduates after Jan 1, 2024, completion of a minimum of a master’s degree by an accredited university
- Completion of an ACEND accredited Dietetics program (Didactic Program in Dietetics, Dietetic Internship, Coordinated Program, or graduate-level competency-based program)
- State licensure or certification in accordance with the primary state of practice; must be obtained within 6 months of hire
