Job Summary
RN Clinical Charge Nurse directs daily unit activities on the assigned shift, leads an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, safe patient care, manages staff assignments and unit operations, conducts physician rounds, bed flow coordination, patient discharge planning, and participates in performance improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives. Requires RN license, BLS, and relevant nursing experience with leadership responsibilities; preferred qualifications include a nursing degree beyond diploma and multi-state licensure. The role emphasizes staff coaching, collaboration with physicians and care managers, and maintaining compliance with nursing practice standards within the WellStar health system.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
