Job Summary
RN Clinical Charge Nurse leads and directs daily unit activities during Day shift, supervising licensed and unlicensed staff, making patient assignments, coordinating bed flow, rounding with physicians, and ensuring delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. The role involves staffing planning, evaluating resource needs during surges, leading performance improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives, mentoring and precepting other nurses, and collaborating with care teams to maintain patient safety and efficiency. The incumbent must uphold professional nursing practice standards, participate in governance and committees, and advocate for patient-centered care across the care continuum.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- Minimum 1 year nursing experience or Minimum 2 years Preferred
- Experience as relief charge with clinical expertise Preferred
