Job Summary

Conduct daily patient rounds to evaluate care quality and implement corrective actions using peer coaching. Oversee the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation, while coordinating interdisciplinary communication and documentation. Manage staff schedules, unit patient flow, and resource inventory to ensure efficient operations during night shifts (7pm–7am). Serve as a preceptor for new nurses and students, modeling professional practice to support team development. Uphold clinical standards, safety protocols, and evidence-based practices to deliver safe, patient-centered care.

Required Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
Knowledge of the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act
Implementation of the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association
Advanced clinical expertise
Ability to build rapport between nurses and physicians
Role model behavior for others
Ability to lead and coach others
Strong attention to detail
Availability for night shifts (7pm-7am)
