Job Summary
Conduct daily patient rounds to evaluate care quality and appropriateness, implementing corrective actions as needed. Provide oversight for the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation, while coordinating interdisciplinary communication and patient teaching. Manage staff schedules, unit patient flow, and resource inventory to ensure efficient delivery of safe, evidence-based care. Serve as a preceptor for new nurses, model professional practice, and lead performance improvement initiatives within the shared governance framework. Support physician rounding and committee involvement to maintain survey readiness and operational functionality.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Knowledge of the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act
- Implementation of the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association
