Job Summary
Conduct daily patient rounds to evaluate care quality and appropriateness, implementing corrective actions as needed. Oversee the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, while coordinating interdisciplinary communication and regular rounds. Manage unit patient flow, staff schedules, and resource allocation, ensuring equipment inventory and staffing levels meet demand. Serve as a preceptor for new staff and students, modeling professional practice and supporting team development. Uphold clinical competencies, evidence-based practice standards, and regulatory requirements to ensure safe, patient-centered care delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Knowledge of the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act
- Implementation of the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association
