Job Summary
Coordinate unit resources and lead interdisciplinary care teams by assessing patient status, developing individualized care plans, and directing delegation. Manage staffing levels, optimize premium pay and overtime, and mediate conflicts among staff, families, and physicians. Enforce Intermountain policies, activate rapid response protocols, and facilitate continuous quality improvement while mentoring staff. Requires current RN license, BLS certification, and BSN within four years. Located at Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, with 30 weekly hours and a salary range of $42.00 to $62.17.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
- Unit Specific Certification as required (i.e., ACLS, PALS, etc.)
- Experience in assigned clinical area
- Mentoring experience
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
- Registered Nurses (RNs) hired or promoted into this role must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four years of their hire or promotion date
- Required to complete Charge Nurse training
