Job Summary
Medical Assistant in a rheumatology clinic providing clinical and administrative support to ensure smooth patient care and efficient operations. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals and entering data into the EHR, verifying demographics/pharmacy/insurance, handling lab results and communications with patients, drug precertification, scheduling, referrals, and scalp maintaining a safe, compliant clinic environment per OSHA and infection-control policies. Requires proficiency with EHR, strong interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting, and a High School diploma/GED with BLS certification; CMA/RMA certification is desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education in medical assisting preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
