Job Summary
Seeking a part-time Registered/Certified Cardiac Medical Assistant to support a busy electrophysiology office. Candidates must have a strong interest in cardiology, relevant experience, Florida medical assistant certification, and proficiency in eClinical Works. Responsibilities include front and back office duties, EKGs, patient consent, and insurance verification. Hours may vary between part-time and full-time options. Salary ranges from $18 to $22 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Registered/Certified Medical Assistant with current Florida credentials
- 1-to 5-years experience as a medical assistant in a medical office setting
- Completed an accredited medical assisting (MA) program
- Passed the MA certification exam
- Obtained a Medical Assistant Florida state license
- Proficient with EClinical Works
- Drug testing, background checks, and LIVESCAN agreement required
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
- Knowledge of medical terminology (esp. cardiology)
- Ability to manage HIPAA and OSHA documentation
- Knowledge of cardiac devices (preferred)
- Phlebotomy skills a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
