Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist

Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect patient care by assisting physicians in diagnostic and invasive cardiac, electrophysiology, structural heart, and peripheral procedures. Prepare rooms with supplies, position and drape patients while maintaining asepsis, and perform hemodynamic monitoring to assess and treat changes during complex interventions. Scrub, monitor, and circulate for all cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures, manage sheath removal with mechanical or manual compression, and troubleshoot equipment issues to maintain efficiency. Cross train across the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, and Invasive Cardiology Holding and Recovery Areas to meet departmental needs.
Required Qualifications
- Specialized Diploma from an accredited school of cardiovascular science
- Specialized Diploma from an accredited school of radiation technology with cardiovascular experience
- Decisive decision making in critical situations
- Exhibits critical-thinking
- Knowledge of current medical practice as it relates to diagnostic and interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, peripheral, and structural heart procedures
- Initiates, accepts, and adapts to change
- RCIS-Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Spec CCI - State of Pennsylvania within 180 Days
- RCES -Reg Cardiac Electrophysiology Spec CCI - State of Pennsylvania within 180 Days
- RT - Registered Technologist Radiology - State of Pennsylvania within 180 Days
- CCT - Certified Cardiographic Technician CCI - State of Pennsylvania within 1 Year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 90 Days
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 90 Days
- Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
- Frequent to continuous standing/walking
- Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift
- Activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree from an accredited school of cardiovascular science
- Associate's Degree from an accredited school of radiation technology with cardiovascular experience
- 2 years of experience with invasive cardiology or interventional radiology
