Job Summary
Perform all types of Cardiac Ultrasound procedures including Transthoracic Echocardiogram, Treadmill Stress Echocardiograms, and Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms. Operate ultrasound equipment to conduct portable exams in the Operating Room, Intensive Care Units, and off-site locations. Record images and create hard copies where applicable. Use Epic to schedule and complete exams while generating preliminary reports. Serve as a resource to sonographers, physicians, and students. Adhere to established departmental protocols for specialized and general procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Specialized post-secondary training equal to two years of college
- Registration required by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), including the RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, under the ARDMS)
- Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) for cardiac specialties
