Job Summary
RBT visits clients at home or in the community to provide relief to caregivers and holistic support to youth. The role includes implementing and developing interventions from the Individual Support Plan (environmental arrangement, proactive strategies, acquisition of functional skills including ADLs, reduction of problem behaviors), submitting visit notes promptly, complying with service authorization timelines, crisis prevention/intervention, following agency policies, and participating in required training. Work is conducted in-home, in-community, or in-center (Orange Twp), East Orange, NJ, with shifts typically after 3 pm during the school year and as early as 8:30 am in the summer; role may involve 2-20 hours weekly over 2-4 hour shifts, and requires collaboration with Respite Care and Behavioral Assistant cases.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification to be completed within 6 months of hire
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen required
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates encouraged to apply
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) with at least 1 year of supervised experience in behavior support plans for individuals with IDD
