Job Summary
Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children with autism under supervision of a BCBA; implement individualized behavior intervention plans, teach communication, social, and daily living skills, and reduce interfering behaviors using evidence-based techniques. Requires patience, compassion, and ability to work well in a team; comprehensive training provided to empower you to help each child. The role involves physical activities and handling children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds; aims to make a meaningful impact on the child and family on a daily basis.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
- Ability to pass a pre employment background check
- Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
