Job Summary
Implement Applied Behavior Analysis services for children with special needs under BCBA supervision, including daily data collection, treatment plan execution, and skill acquisition program delivery. Train and onboard new Behavior Technicians through orientation, competency assessments, and ongoing coaching while maintaining visual supervision and strict confidentiality. Represent the program to families and staff, ensuring a clean, safe environment and facilitating team culture activities. Collaborate with leadership to develop training schedules and provide feedback for program improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- 1.5 years of experience as a Behavior Technician/Registered Behavior Technician
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people
- Willing to work with children from birth to 21 and their families
- Basic computer skills which include a working knowledge of database, word processing, spreadsheets, and internet software
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents
- Ability to author routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of families or employees of the organization
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Positive attitude and high energy level to facilitate engagement during activities
- Ability to report for work dressed appropriately and comply with company policies regarding the dress code
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- Ability to accurately communicate information and ideas so others will understand through sight and hearing
- Ability to move including walking, running, jumping, and sitting
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle, lift, reach, and feel
- Ability to stand and stoop, twist, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include near and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Pass the RBT competency assessment conducted by supervising BCBA
- Complete annual renewal through BACB
- Receive ongoing supervision and comply with BACB's ethics requirements
