Job Summary
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans for children with developmental disabilities under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress, assist in developing tailored care plans, and educate clients and families about behavioral strategies. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations while collaborating with other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach. Provide support during therapy sessions to ensure a safe and encouraging environment. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral therapy.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and medical documentation
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly children
- Strong data collection skills to monitor client progress effectively
- Ability to educate clients and families about behavior management techniques
- Proficient in creating and maintaining detailed medical records and care plans
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate collaboration with team members and families
- A passion for helping others improve their lives through effective behavioral therapy
- Weekends as needed
