Job Summary
Document daily participation records after completing tasks with students, observe and manage student behavior according to approved procedures, and implement behavior management techniques to support individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and developmental needs. Work one-on-one and in groups as outlined in IEPs, assist teachers with classwork and daily care, maintain classroom equipment, and provide training and coaching to paraprofessionals on behavior techniques. You must successfully pass PCM (behavior management) training and hold an Illinois Paraprofessional Educator license. Schedule is 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Illinois Paraprofessional Educator license
- Registered Behavior Technician License
- High school diploma or GED
- Must successfully pass PCM (behavior management) training
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and to meet its functional and environmental requirements
