Job Summary
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) while teaching communication, social, and daily living skills to children with autism. Use evidence-based techniques to reduce interfering behaviors and work one-on-one with clients, requiring comfort with physical tasks like lifting up to 50 pounds and moving in various positions. Complete CPR, First Aid, and Tuberculosis testing requirements and pass a pre-employment background check. Receive comprehensive training to support children who may be unpredictable or confrontational.
Required Qualifications
- Passionate about helping children with autism
- Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
- 18+ years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven't had one in the last year)
- Ability to pass a pre employment background check
- Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
