Job Summary
Provide direct one-on-one ABA therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual/developmental disabilities in home and community settings under the supervision of a BCBA. Implement individualized behavior support plans and skill acquisition programs; use ABA strategies with positive reinforcement and prompting; collect and record data for clinical review and Medicaid compliance; maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and BACB Ethics Code; communicate with families, participate in team meetings, and support adherence to supervision and certification requirements. Requires HS diploma or GED (or equivalent), 18+ years old, eligibility to work in the U.S., background checks, CPR/First Aid, TB testing, fingerprinting, and RBT certification/training support. Certification is preferred with training and testing provided; ongoing professional development and BACB compliance emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (must provide copy)
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- RBT Certification preferred; required prior to providing services
- 40-hour RBT training course (if pursuing certification)
- Successful completion of the RBT Competency Assessment
- Submission of RBT certification application
- Passing the RBT certification examination
- Maintaining certification through annual BACB recertification requirements
- CPR and First Aid certification (Adult and Pediatric) required prior to providing services
- Negative TB test required prior to providing services
- Background screening including Fingerprinting, national and federal checks, and registry screenings
- Eligibility to enroll as a Medicaid Rendering Provider
