Job Summary
Work closely with students in 1:1 or classroom settings to assist with moderate to severe scenarios including toileting, personal care, and challenging behaviors. Foster a safe learning environment while supporting resource teachers in delivering IEPs and following lead educator directions. Observe and communicate across varied indoor and outdoor settings while remaining comfortable with medically fragile or high-behavior situations. Maintain physical readiness to sit, stand, walk, and safely lift up to 30 lbs. Additional role requirements are detailed in the handbook and shared during the interview process. Required Qualifications
- Valid RBT Certification
- Experience in behavioral therapy and working with students with developmental disabilities
- At least 1 year experience working with children/adults with special needs
- At least 1 year year in a classroom /education setting
- Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 48+ college credits
- Three References with one by a previous direct supervisor
- State & federal background checks
- TB risk assessment or test
- Sitting, standing, and walking, and able to lift up to 30 lbs while safely assisting students
