Job Summary

Center-based Behavior Technician provides ABA-based clinical skills instruction to children with autism and related developmental disabilities in home, community, clinic, and school settings. Under BCBA supervision, the technician plans and implements intervention strategies, teaches targeted behaviors with reinforcement and incidental teaching, collects and summarizes data, and assists with parent training. Responsibilities include documenting progress, ensuring child safety, coordinating with agencies and professionals, and maintaining effective communication with parents/caregivers and administrators. Collaboration and reliability are essential as part of a team-oriented environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 21 years of age and up.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an accredited university AND one year of direct relevant experience working with youth and families who require behavior management to address mental health needs OR An associate’s degree (60 college credits) AND a minimum of two years of direct relevant experience working with youth and families who require behavior management to address mental health needs.
  • Strong organization and communication skills are required.
  • Registered Behavior technician certification is a plus.
