Job Summary

Apply empirically based behavioral principles consistently to all clients while implementing Individualized Treatment Plans under the direction of behavior analysts. Teach clients to acquire language, academic, self-help, and social skills, and actively assist with toilet training, eating, and other life skills as needed. Observe and report client conditions and behaviors by maintaining detailed daily records, completing data collection notes, and submitting progress reports and billing documentation on time. Manage crisis situations involving physical aggression or property destruction, and collaborate with parents, staff, and the community to execute treatment plans. Respond to behavior outbursts quickly, adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations, and participate in staff training programs to maintain professional growth.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma
  • Registered Behavior Technician
  • ability to be board certified within three months of hire
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, with people at all levels of the organization
  • Great interpersonal and people skills
  • Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills and abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to develop programs that fit strategically with Adapt For Life goals
  • Must be physically able to respond appropriately at all times when working directly with a patient
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to react quickly to behavior outbursts in children and young adults
