Job Summary
Lead a team of 3–6 in-house Designers to design architectural plans for commercial, institutional, healthcare, and multifamily projects, ensuring functionality and visual appeal. Review, mark-up, calculate, and stamp construction documents to confirm compliance with local, state, and national building codes, zoning laws, and safety standards (including floor plans, elevations, and MEP). Collaborate with clients and end-users to deliver tailored, feasible solutions that balance material durability, cost-effectiveness, and constructability. Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, sales, estimating, production) to integrate designs into project workflows. Mentor colleagues on building code insights and construction best practices, offer creative alternatives for cost savings, and maintain detailed project documentation. Communicate effectively with clients, outside vendors, third-party agencies and subcontractors. EEO Employer, with Arizona-based licensure and opportunity to pursue licensure in additional states.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
- Active Registered Architect license (Arizona required)
- NCARB certificate
- Portfolio of completed projects
- Demonstrated experience in building design including life safety egress plans and calculations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (3D), Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe InDesign, Excel; familiarity with Enercalc or ComCheck
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent English; Spanish a bonus
