Job Summary
Develop and carry out activities that enhance residents' quality of life, including group, individual, and one-on-one sessions for bed-bound, cognitively impaired, and behavioral residents. Conduct introductory visits with new residents within 24 business hours, complete resident assessments with supporting documentation, and take photos to coordinate personalized activities. Lead and assist with program delivery while documenting participation and posting monthly activity calendars. Produce facility newsletters and social media posts requiring consent, oversee the Volunteer Program, and evaluate program effectiveness. Participate in Daily QA meetings, care plan reviews, and emergency situations as needed. Make facility rounds to remain visible to residents, visitors, and staff, and communicate professionally with families, co-workers, and vendors. Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and Legacy's Code of Conduct.
Required Qualifications
- Freedom from illegal use of drugs
- Freedom from use and effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace
- No court conviction for abusing, neglecting, or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting
- High School diploma
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Long-Term care setting
- Registered Activity Director certification
