Job Summary
Ensure compliance with FMCSA, CSA, DOT, and OSHA regulations while developing and maintaining regional safety programs and policies. Deliver required safety training to employees, drivers, and independent contractors. Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits, and accident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions. Partner with terminal leadership to identify risks, improve safety performance, and foster a proactive safety culture. Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare reports for leadership. Support regulatory inspections and maintain accurate safety documentation. Stay current on industry regulations and best practices through ongoing professional development. Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with extensive travel throughout the assigned region.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in workplace safety within transportation, logistics, or a related industry
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA, CSA, DOT, and OSHA regulations
- Experience conducting accident investigations and implementing corrective actions
- Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience leading, training, and developing employees to promote a strong culture of workplace safety
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned region
- Flexible schedule to support operational needs
