Job Summary
Regional Vice President of Property Operations to lead a multi-site portfolio of affordable housing communities in Sacramento. You will drive financial and operational excellence, oversee portfolio performance, and ensure resident-focused services while partnering with cross-functional leaders to deliver high-quality results. The role requires strategic planning, budgeting, regulatory compliance (HUD, LIHTC, tax-exempt bonds), and the development of a strong leadership culture across Regional/Area Directors, with a strong emphasis on mission-driven housing, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline desired, or related experience.
- Real Estate Broker’s license or ability to obtain one.
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a manager of affordable housing communities and staff.
- Experience in generating property and corporate budgets, implementing systems for large property operations organization, and supervision of management staff.
- Comprehensive knowledge of affordable housing programs and funding mechanisms including HUD, Low Income Tax Credits, Rural Housing, and Tax-Exempt Bonds.
- Working knowledge of applicable local and federal housing laws including Fair Housing and Landlord Tenant laws.
- Demonstrated ability to create and manage quality, resident-driven programs.
