Job Summary
Provide strategic leadership to underwriting teams, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and strong portfolio performance. Oversee regional underwriting results, including rate adequacy, loss ratios, retention, growth, and product mix. Ensure consistent execution of underwriting guidelines, authorities, best practices, and regulatory/internal compliance standards. Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, partners, and internal stakeholders. Lead regional business planning, forecasting, performance reporting, and represent the region in corporate strategy and governance forums. Monitor key metrics and implement corrective actions to achieve targets. Collaborate with Claims, Product, Operations, Distribution, and Finance to drive alignment and execution. Drive continuous improvement and talent development through process enhancements, coaching, performance management, and succession planning. This permanent, full-time remote position is based in the Greater Toronto Area for a Regional Vice President leading a high-impact underwriting portfolio within a high-growth company.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive Property & Casualty underwriting experience
