Regional Trade Compliance Specialist

Job Summary
Ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements, including trade compliance and customs regulations. Collaborate with regional business leaders to deliver safe, compliant supply chain solutions and liaise with customs brokers to align partner performance. Assist the Global Trade Compliance Leader in implementing best practices to streamline opportunities, eliminate non-value added services, and control costs through efficiency metrics. Independently determine solutions for the region, develop internal SOPs, and prepare responses for customs requests. This role reports to the Global Trade Compliance Leader and works within Ketjen's advanced catalyst solutions industry, focusing on petrochemical, refining, and specialty chemicals sectors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain / logistics or equivalent by experience
- Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in Trade Compliance covering APAC
- Chemical industry experience is a plus
- Data driven
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good negotiation and influential skills
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERP system
- GTS is a plus
- Proficient User of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Good team player but still can work independently
- Ability to participate in cross-functional, team-oriented environment
- Ability to interact with multiple levels of leadership internally and externally
- Acquisition, integration and ERP implementation experience a plus
- Applied trade compliance analytical abilities in some or all of the following areas: HTS Classification, Export control, Restricted Party Screening, Free Trade Agreements, Country of Origin, and/or Broker Accountability
