Job Summary
Greet customers entering the branch, guide them to appropriate support, and engage in constant in-person and telephone customer service. Serve clients by supplying information on Rockland Trust banking products best suited to their individual needs. Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, cash checking, and other financial transactions with a high level of accuracy while making decisions alongside your immediate supervisor. Work closely with the training team and branch team to complete Rockland Trust's Teller Training and learn these responsibilities. Perform any other duties as assigned by management. This role requires a flexible work week that may include weekends, with the ability to work within normal office requirements involving long periods of standing.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable using technology, including computers, to facilitate the achievement of business goals.
- Sales and service-oriented personality.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
- Positive approach to interactions with customers and team members.
- Ability to work within normal office requirements, with long periods of standing and continuous customer support.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness and ability to work within a flexible work week, which may include weekends, as customer needs dictate.
- Ability to successfully complete our training program.
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years prior teller experience or cash handling/customer service skills.
