Job Summary
Lead regional engineering teams by delivering installations, maintenance, fault resolution, and infrastructure upgrades across the VFAST network. Provide day-to-day technical guidance, mentor engineers, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Collaborate with Service Delivery, Projects, and Network Engineering teams to support resource planning, customer communications, and regional performance reporting. Participate in the on-call rota, handle out-of-hours works, and travel extensively throughout the assigned region.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience within ISP, wireless networking or telecommunications engineering
- Excellent understanding of WiMAX, wireless broadband and networking technologies
- Experience installing and maintaining Ubiquiti and MikroTik infrastructure
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Participate in the company on-call rota
- Be available for planned out-of-hours engineering works
- Work flexible overtime where operational requirements dictate
- Travel extensively throughout their assigned region and nationally where required
- Occasionally stay overnight when supporting major projects or business requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Fibre optic installation and testing experience
- Network routing knowledge
- Experience with GPON and Ethernet technologies
- Ubiquiti and MikroTik certifications
- Working at Height certification
- IPAF, PASMA or MEWP qualifications
- First Aid qualification
