Job Summary
Oversee and support staffing coordinators and scheduling teams across multiple skilled nursing facilities by establishing consistent procedures and reviewing schedules for shortages, overtime, and agency usage. Work with administrators and nursing directors to identify staffing needs, fill open shifts, and resolve urgent coverage issues while monitoring attendance patterns and recurring gaps. Develop strategies to reduce overtime and vacancies, assist with recruitment for clinical positions, and track candidates from application through onboarding. Conduct facility visits to review staffing concerns, coach coordinators on performance, and ensure scheduling practices meet company policies and union requirements. Participate in occasional after-hours staffing escalations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in healthcare staffing, scheduling, recruitment, or workforce management
- Ability to travel throughout Boston and the surrounding Massachusetts area as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or senior-care experience
- Multi-facility, regional, or supervisory experience
- Strong understanding of nursing schedules, shift coverage, overtime management, and staffing ratios
- Experience working with RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing-home employees
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple facilities, deadlines, and urgent staffing situations
- Comfortable reviewing staffing reports and using data to identify problems and recommend solutions
- Experience with scheduling, applicant-tracking, payroll, HRIS, or workforce-management systems
