Regional Sourcing Manager

Job Summary

Build strategic partnerships with vendors to meet customer waste management needs and optimize service quality and cost effectiveness. Manage end-to-end procurement and reprocurement processes while collaborating with Account Management, Sales, and Solutions teams to drive vendor adoption of innovative programs. Monitor and improve vendor performance through relationship building and negotiation, making data-driven decisions on customer location allocation. Lead a high-performing team by overseeing Regional Sourcing Team Leads and Associates, including hiring, coaching, and setting clear performance expectations. Ensure compliance with company policies and support high-level strategic initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
  • 5+ years of experience in vendor partner management with a track record of vendor performance improvement
  • Demonstrated experience in working cross functionally to support vendor evaluation and selection, based on client/customer needs
  • Ability to identify problems, propose solutions, and drive through to resolution independently
  • Experience in developing, training, and coaching others in a cooperative and engaging manner
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of vendor management
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion
  • Ability to work independently while also being a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Discretion and trustworthiness in handling sensitive information and supporting high-level strategic initiatives
  • Ability to travel and/or work onsite as needed
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time
  • Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working from home or a designated workspace
  • Ability to perform tasks that require sustained attention and focus
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds
  • Reliable internet connection with sufficient bandwidth to execute all job functions and technology setup conducive to remote work
  • A quiet, distraction-free workspace
