Job Summary
Sourcing multiple strategic food and feed ingredients domestically and internationally while managing supplier contracts, negotiating terms, and ensuring on-time delivery. Analyze market trends, forecast availability, and drive supply chain innovation to improve departmental efficiency. Manage inventory turns, review new materials and suppliers against risk assessments, and produce required documentation for shipment support. Collaborate with quality control, R&D, finance, and regulatory teams to align specifications and develop ISO and GMP-compliant standard operating procedures. Provide market insights on costs and constraints for long-term planning and budgeting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of procurement experience
- Must have a solid understanding and adherence to the Servant Leadership philosophy
- Must have solid computer skills
- Excellent planning skills
- Excellent scheduling skills
- Excellent formulating skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent oral communication skills
- English language proficiency
- Must be able to travel up to 40%
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Purchasing Certification
- Chemical (raw material) knowledge
- Previous experience dealing with ISO
- Previous experience dealing with GMP
- Previous experience dealing with various international governmental and/or regulatory agencies
