Job Summary

Regional Shop Trainer serves as the regional technical expert for complex electrical and mechanical matters. Collaborates with shop leadership and area maintenance directors to advance technician development using Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and Web-Based Training (WBT). Builds and maintains curriculums for existing and emerging technologies, escalates regional maintenance issues, and partners with Training Operations to design and evaluate advanced curriculums. Manages WBT course requirements and LMS documentation, ensures training completion, and tracks progress. Conducts safety reviews (OSHA/EPA), audits repairs for warranty impact, and drives continuous improvement in technician performance across regional shops. Travels to designated regional facilities to deliver and oversee training, maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge and a positive work environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Comprehensive Background Check
  • Pre-employment Hair drug screening
  • 10 years hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems on heavy duty Transportation Industry equipment
  • Master Heavy Duty Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification
  • L2 Advanced Engine Diagnostic (ASE) certification
  • Knowledge of training techniques with ability to transfer knowledge
  • Ability to travel 1 week out of the month

Desired Qualifications

  • 10 years hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems on heavy duty Transportation Industry equipment
  • Master Heavy Duty Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification
  • L2 Advanced Engine Diagnostic (ASE) certification
  • Knowledge of training techniques with ability to transfer knowledge
  • Ability to travel 1 week out of the month
  • Experience serving as a regional technical expert or trainer in a diesel/heavy equipment environment
  • Experience designing, developing, and evaluating complex curriculums and training programs
  • Experience using Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and Web-Based Training (WBT) methods
  • Strong documentation and LMS (Learning Management System) management skills
  • Commitment to safety and OSHA/EPA compliance
  • Ability to collaborate with training operations leadership to improve technician development
