Job Summary
Regional Shop Trainer responsible for serving as the regional technical expert for complex electrical and mechanical matters, collaborating with shop leadership and area maintenance directors to develop technician capabilities through Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and Web-Based Training (WBT). Build advanced curriculums for existing and emerging technologies, provide expertise to resolve region-wide maintenance issues, and design/maintain curricula with Director of Training Operations. Manage WBT course requirements, maintain training records in the Learning Management System (LMS), monitor course completion, and ensure documentation is up to date. Regularly evaluate programs for relevance and safety, conduct OSHA/EPA facility inspections, assist with troubleshooting chronic equipment problems, and travel to regional shops to support training initiatives. Maintain current knowledge of industry technologies, promote safe work environments, and perform additional responsibilities as assigned. Must have 10 years of hands-on experience in heavy-duty mechanical/electrical systems, and hold or obtain within 90 days of hire the Master ASE certification (L2 Advanced Engine Diagnostic). Strong training technique capabilities and ability to transfer knowledge are required, as well as willingness to travel approximately one week per month.

- 10 years of hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems on heavy duty Transportation Industry equipment
- Master Heavy Duty Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification
- L2 Advanced Engine Diagnostic (ASE) certification
- Knowledge of training techniques with ability to transfer knowledge
- Ability to travel 1 week out of the month, each month
