Job Summary
Provide full-line technical support to customers, distributors, and service centers by performing repairs, installations, and root-cause analysis on assigned products. Create Return Merchandise Authorizations, place parts orders, and write knowledge base articles within the Service Cloud system. Conduct training seminars for customers and the sales force while resolving field problems through direct communication to maintain satisfaction. Participate in first-time build vehicle installations and work with Engineering, Marketing, and Quality departments on new product development and failure resolutions. Requires an Associate's degree in Electronics Technology, five years of service-related experience, and 100% travel availability including overnight stays.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Electronics Technology or other relevant course of study or equivalent work experience
- Five (5) years' experience in a service related field
- Good knowledge of assigned products and solutions, their associated technologies as well as their applications
- Proven ability to make sound decisions and recommendations
- Resourceful, confident and capable of solving problems
- Effective communicator - in person, writing and through various other media, to technical and non-technical audiences
- Solid team orientation, possessing integrity, strong work ethic and partnering and collaboration skills
- Capable and comfortable taking direction and input from multiple sources
- Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously
- Good attention to detail
- Willingness to travel 100%, often involving overnight stays
